Recently I’ve been asked, what’s the benefit of having a Graduating year session? Let me explain, but first I want to tell you why I created it. I had a mini session with my son during the summer of before his senior year began. It was like pulling teeth to get him to give me at least five different poses. I said fine, but come fall I want to get a few more. Come Fall same thing he only let me take a few images, the winter and spring sessions with him were no different go figure. The magic happen two months prior to graduation when I began to edit all the images I took over the corse of his high school senior year. What I saw was my precious son grew from a boy into a young man in those images. The growth of my child was captured by the images I took and I didn’t even realize it. I couldn’t believe it, I was amazed. In that year, everything had changed; from the structure of his face to the way he carried himself. Who was this young man I asked myself and how lucky I was to have captured […]
I’ve had a love for photography my entire life; I was one of those kids who took pictures of everything. Dandelions, friends, dead bugs, and non-willing relatives nothing could escape my lens. At the ripe age of 9 in 1979, I opened the doors (my bedroom) to Jacque’s Photography. I invited (forced) the members of my household to come visit me for pictures. As a valued customer of Jacque’s Photography, you were given a complimentary check-up. I made those cuts and bruises were covered up with band-aids prior to your session. Ironing services were also available for those wrinkled shirts for 25¢. Looking back at it now it was my it 1979 version of Photoshop. Flash forward a few years my love for photography has grown into a full-time passion. Starting out from home I opened my studio in 2007, as iPose Photography, my part-time business grew into a full-time business helping people capture their greatest memories. Today, I operate from a studio in the South Historic Haymarket as Red Feather Photography in Lincoln, Nebraska. Come check out some of our new changes, we enlarged our shooting room, added wood floors and got a new website!
